ACE ADVENTURES is an innovative summer camp focused on creating a space and place where children want to be! Our program fosters creativity, self esteem, and growth based on encouraging our campers to think outside the box. Our program offers a variety of activities as we build each day with something fun for everyone! Each day is filled with athletic outdoor games, S.T.E.A.M. activities, and our ever-so popular project based learning activities where our campers can use their imagination and critical thinking skills! ACE Adventures staff are ready to lead our campers through a journey of fun as a summer full of adventure awaits!
SUMMER 2023 THEMES & FIELD TRIPS
Session 1: FOODIELAND
Discover an abundance of exciting foods with a creative twist as we spend this session celebrating our favorite foods. Get wild about waffles by designing your own waffle house, scream for ice cream in an endurance round of Sweet Mouth and create your own culinary concoctions in our clay lab kitchen. Slice and dice your way through life size fruit ninja, mash and dash in a game of fruit salad and don't forget to bring your appetite as we prepare flavorful bites that will have your taste buds bursting.

ACE is alive with the Sound of Music! Tap into your hidden talents as we play with different materials to create beautiful melodies. Use recycled objects to create homemade instruments. Observe sound science with a water experiment and enjoy a multi sensory experience as we combine Art and Music. Keep the rhythm in a series of clapping games, secure a seat in musical chairs and drop the mic

Session 3: Out of This World
Get ready to swing on a star and carry moonbeams home in a jar as we travel to galaxies unknown. Blast off into space with a soda bottle jet pack, chart constellations made of marshmallows, and orbit around a Styrofoam model of our Solar System. In a quest to become a space ranger, learn to launch a rocket, break open moon rocks and taste test freeze dried foods at our Astronaut Academy

Session 4: Into The Woods
Adventure awaits as we gear up for a session in nature. Set up camp in pitch a tent relay, build miniature log cabins to keep the critters out and tip toe around the den as we solve a series of puzzles in our "Don't Wake the Bears Escape Room". Gather around the campfire as we collect natural materials to build habitats for our woodland friends, scoot our way to the finish line in a sleeping bag sack race and perfect the ratio of marshmallow to chocolate at our smores bar.

Session 5: Best Of ACE ADVENTURES
Missed a session of ACE Adventures? Never fear as we wrap up the summer with everyone’s favorite activities from past sessions. Compete in minute it win it challenges, race in a color run, and take cover in a round of Kawplowee. Get a taste of a day in the life at ACE as we highlight our fall enrichments such as Maker Space and Project Based Learning by creating your very own summer camp. Make memories with beach ball volley, water wars and scrapbooking as we celebrate the end of the season.

ACE Adventures All Access Summer 2023 Pass
Billing Details:
- There is a $200.00 deposit due at registration which will be applied towards your week/s at camp OR ACE Adventure All Access Summer Passes.
- Cancellations are accepted through May 1st and a full refund will be issued for your deposit. If you cancel after May 1st you will be issued a credit for your deposit for future camp sessions with ACE Adventures. Cancellations are not accepted within 10 days of registered session start date.
- ACE Adventures will be billed on the first for all weeks and field trips registered within that month.
- ACE Adventures offers a 20% sibling discount & Teachers discount on weekly registrations but not on Adventure Passes as they are offered at a highly discounted rate.
- Field Trip fees are billed separately from weekly tuition and spots will be available on a first come first serve basis. Please select your choice of Field Trip Options when registering to secure your campers spot. Campers who do not attend Field Trips will have a fun filled day on-site with our Themed activities. SUMMER 2023 FIELD TRIP / STAY BACK INFO
Field trips are on a first come first serve basis as we only have a limited amount of spots due to bus capacity.
Each session we will be going on two field trips per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Session 2, Week 1 we will only offer one field trip due to the Independence Day Holiday.
Session 5 we will not be offering field trips and instead enjoy our last week of camp on site.
Please Note: Campers will always have the option to stay back if they choose not to attend the field trips and enjoy a fun filled day full of themed activities on-site.
- We will be traveling to field trip destinations by chartered school buses. All school buses will have seat belts for each child.
- Students will be grouped by age/friends and will be accompanied by two staff members at all times.
- Campers attending field trips must wear their ACE Adventures T-Shirt Provided on the first day of camp.
- Departure Times for Field Trips is 10am with an estimated arrival back on site by 4pm unless otherwise noted.
- Lunch is provided on all field trips. Lunch is not provided for children staying back from field trips- Please send a bag lunch from home.
- Our Field Trips have been carefully chosen to be age appropriate for all campers ages 4-11 to enjoy.

Lunch and Snacks
ACE Adventures will serve healthy lunches three times weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for Sessions 1-4 of Summer 2023. We will serve lunch all five days (M-F) for our Session 5 Finale week. Lunch is included in tuition. We will offer a variety of kid friendly meals always served with fresh fruit, vegetables and milk.
An afternoon healthy snack served with fresh fruits and vegetables will also be provided each day.
Please Note: Lunch is provided on all field trips and is included in the field trip fee.

Glimpse of a day at ACE Adventures...
8am-10am Morning arrival and Maker Space Where DIY meets imagination and education. Our mornings will are filled with readily available materials to inspire the imagination. Campers are encouraged to explore our collaborative workspace through hands-on learning and interactive experiences. 10am-10:30am- Morning Snack Staff go over the agenda for the day including descriptions of activities and games while our campers enjoy a morning snack together. Please send a light morning snack with your camper. 10:30am- 12pm Adventure Zone Our ACE Adventure Zone Connects us with our ROOTS. Campers exercise their creative confidence and imagination by open ended outdoor play with natural materials. 12pm- 1pm Lunch Lunch will be provided by ACE Adventures on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays Sessions 1-4 and Monday-Friday for Session 5. |
1pm-2:30pm Project Based Learning Our Project based learning is done collaboratively and within age appropriate groups using a variety of skills, such as critical thinking, communication, and creativity! Project based learning enables campers to combine learning with life skills. This is the time where STEAM is the THEME! 2:30pm Afternoon Snack An afternoon healthy snack will be provided by ACE Adventures each day to our campers. 3pm-5pm Field for All Our campers can take advantage of our outdoor space that includes huge blacktop and grass field play areas, playgrounds, basketball courts, and more! Campers will be using their teamwork skills to bring out friendly competition through staff led games while encouraging the value of physical activities and of course having FUN! 5pm Close Out Activity & Pick Up by 6pm Staff members will lead campers in a game or activity as we close out our day! |
ACE ADVENTURE FUN FACTS!
- ACE Adventures will be open June 19th - August 18th and is open to all elementary school aged children. Please note we will be closed on Monday, July 3RD and Tuesday, July 4th in observance of the 4th of July.
- ACE Adventures is open M-F 8am-6pm. Tuition includes all hours in between, Daily Healthy Afternoon snacks and lunch served M, W, F.
- ACE Adventures sessions will have themes and multiple activities daily with something fun for everyone! We offer ATHLETIC OUTDOOR GAMES, STEM and ART projects, PROJECT BASED LEARNING and the list goes on. We pride ourselves in offering a camp that meets the interests of every camper enrolled.
- ACE Adventures will bring back our ever so popular WATER Fridays! Each Friday campers will enjoy fun water activities and our Interactive Water Slide or Slip N' Slide Inflatables.
- ACE Adventures campers are welcome to bring their Wheels (and helmet) every Wednesday with ample riding space on our gated blacktop area.
- ACE Adventures is bringing back the Kona Ice Truck every Friday for a Sweet Treat!
ACE Adventures Camp Philosophy

Locations ACE Adventures is Expanding and opening a second Location for the Summer of 2023!
ACE Adventures will offer Summer 2023 at the following locations: Arroyo Elementary School Ages 4-11 1710 Arroyo Avenue San Carlos, CA 94070 White Oaks Elementary School Ages 5-11 1901 White Oaks Way San Carlos, CA 94070 When registering, please select the site that works best for you! Each morning begins at 8:00am with a director present to check-in campers. We are open until 6:00 PM and parents may pick up any time throughout the day. Afternoon Snack is served daily as well as lunch on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We encourage you to send a morning snack with your campers. *PLEASE BRING DAILY: Sunscreen, Water Bottle, Morning Snack |
Registration InfoRegistrations for summer 2023 will be by Sessions on a weekly
basis. Sessions will be split into a two week exploration of each theme. You may register for one week or two weeks of each session theme and have the option of 5 days or 3 days per week. If selecting the 3 day option your camper may attend whichever 3 days work best for your family. Fees include lunch (M,W,F), afternoon snack and all hours between 8:00am to 6:00pm daily. Lunch is included for all 5 days of Session 5. ACE Adventures will be billed on the 1st each month for all weeks and field trips registered within that month. Please note there is a $200.00 Deposit due at registration which will be applied towards your weeks at camp and a $250.00 deposit for ACE Adventures All access Summer passes. For our junior explorers ( ages 4-6 ) we have a separate classroom space filled with age appropriate activities/games/books/art supplies. Our daily enrichment programming for our Junior Explorers is similar to that of our older campers, yet structured to be age appropriate. Our outdoor space for all of our campers includes huge blacktop and grass field play areas, playgrounds, baseball fields, basketball courts and more! |

For our older Adventurers ( ages 6-11 ) our classrooms are filled with games, books, art supplies, makers space cabinets and more that are available to campers in addition to our daily enrichment programming. Wheels / Water Play & The Kona Ice Truck!
Wheels Wednesday: Each Wednesday campers are welcome to bring their Wheels (and helmet) to enjoy ample riding space on our gated blacktop area. Fun Filled Water Fridays: ACE Adventures will bring back our ever so popular WATER FRIDAY'S! Each Friday campers will enjoy fun water activities and our Interactive Water Slide or Slip N' Slide Inflatables. There will also be a visit from our favorite Kona Iced Truck where campers may choose from a variety of flavors and enjoy an afternoon treat! **Please send Swimwear, Sunscreen, Towel & Water Shoes with your camper each Friday. |
Adventure Pass
We are committed to offering a lower cost option at a reduced rate. With the ACE All Access Adventures Pass your child will be enrolled in all 9 weeks of our summer program at a highly discounted rate. Session Newsletter
ACE Adventures will send out a Session Newsletter the Friday prior to each session. Newsletters will include information on what to bring to camp daily, special activities happening throughout the week, lunch menus and more. Please be on the lookout for this newsletter for all sessions registered. |
Our Team
The backbone of our program and the driving force behind us is implemented by our dedicated staff members and what they each bring to our program. ACE Adventures will always have a Director on site and certified teachers with both CPR and first aid training. We maintain a 1:7 Staff to child ratio in order to provide the safest possible supervision and care for our children. ACE staff are readily available to encourage our students in the process of creative learning. The vision of our program embraces the ideas and creativity brought forth by our amazing staff! |

ACE Adventures is committed to providing a safe environment for our children and families. Our program follows guidelines set
forth by the CDC and County Health Departments to sustain the most healthy environment possible. Should guidelines change we will adjust our program accordingly to provide the safest environment for our campers.

Health and Hygiene - We practice daily hygiene routines, provide essential protective equipment (EPE), and conduct effective cleaning routines.
Physical Distancing - Our classrooms and outdoor spaces provide safe distancing for campers.
Face Coverings -Masks remain one of the most simple and effective safety mitigation layers to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 infections. To best protect students and staff against COVID-19, we encourage students to continue to mask indoors but it is no longer required. We will continue to assess guidelines set forth by the CDC on an ongoing basis to determine how and when to update masking protocols.
Daily Sanitation: Daily Sanitation takes place throughout the day at ACE Adventures. In addition we have a professional cleaner come into our classrooms for deep cleanings weekly.
Staff COVID Vaccination/Certification: Our ACE Adventures staff are all vaccinated and have taken the Red Cross Certified Covid-19 training.
