Dive into the elements of art as we add a modern twist to historical masterpieces and explore a variety of artistic techniques. Campers will use shaving cream and paint to create prints inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night, experience how Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel by creating their own artwork while lying down, and blend colorful tissue paper to build a serene background inspired by Monet’s Water Lilies. We will practice color mixing with a fun round of paint-splash Twister, gather recycled materials to design original sculptures, and experiment with multiple art mediums including watercolor, oil pastels, and clay.
